I am Alisa Ivanitskaya, a trilingual journalist pursuing a career in science and multimedia journalism. I have experience in print and web-journalism. I am fluent in English, German, and native in Russian.
As a Fulbright Fellow, I got my master’s degree at the University of Arizona with focus on science and environmental reporting and multimedia journalism.
During sixteen years of professional experience in Russia, I covered a variety of topics from street protests to state legislation, from tortures in prisons to science and technology. No matter what I write about I am always interested in human stories, my characters, and enabling them to tell their stories first-hand. I believe that the future of journalism is in using all tools available to transmit the complex human experiences to readers.
